Job summary

GE Aerospace's Connected Aircraft Navigation Systems Sr. Product Manager will lead the Flight Management Systems (FMS) product line, working with sales, engineering, contracts, finance, marketing, and program management to define and execute strategy, shape investment plans, capture customer needs, and drive growth.

You will build roadmaps, support new business opportunities, manage development efforts, and deliver financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of avionics experience in product/program management or systems engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• In-person attendance for New Hire Orientation on Day 1 if working remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update product line strategies and roadmaps.
• Define market winning strategies based on customer needs and investments.
• Present strategy updates in regular business reviews.
• Engage customers early via Sales and Account Managers; represent the line at events.
• Identify new opportunities; shape solutions and pricing.
• Lead cross-functional proposal development with engineering, pricing, contracts, operations.
• Lead product execution for assigned programs and align stakeholders.
• Own investment planning for the product line and prioritize development with engineering.
• Identify external funding opportunities and technology validation.
• Build external partnerships to strengthen the portfolio.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive activity.
• Review and validate product opportunity pipeline with teams.
• Own marketing content for the product line.
• Support IP strategy; patent reviews.
• Manage product line financial performance; forecast.
• Provide updates on performance, risks, and progress.
• Operate with GE Aerospace principles: lean execution, customer focus.
• Apply FLIGHT DECK principles in day-to-day work.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in avionics, such as product management, program management, systems engineering, or engineering
