Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical for its Compliance and Safety Services team in Seattle. You will own a program-level product strategy across the full seller compliance journey, drive cross-functional collaborations across engineering, law, policy, and operations, and shape architecture for shared infrastructure used by multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience technical product management.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive a multi-year product strategy for seller compliance that spans multiple domains, marketplaces, and regulatory regimes, translating ambiguous problem spaces into funded delivery plans.
• Work with internal customers to understand pain points and define shared infrastructure that eliminates redundant builds.
• Collaborate with engineering, science, and AI/ML teams to drive architecture decisions and roadmaps for compliance automation and seller friction reduction.
• Own program-level metrics and report progress to VP-level leadership, creating measurement where none exists.
• Manage cross-team dependencies across 5+ partner organizations with varying priorities, ensuring timely delivery without direct authority over those teams.
• Address bottlenecks, balance seller experience improvements against regulatory risk and resource constraints.
• Write strategy documents and one-pagers to drive leadership decisions, not just describe possibilities.
• Query and analyze data to ground product recommendations in seller behavior and compliance outcomes.
