Qualifications

The Impact You'll Make

Own the global direction of Danfoss’ commercial refrigeration controller business, with the autonomy to shape its next chapter of growth. As Senior Product Manager, you will work directly with customers and shape strategy, product development, and investment decisions for solutions used in food service, food and beverage, professional kitchens, cold rooms, and related applications worldwide.

You will decide which customer needs to address and why, turning market insight into clear priorities, requirements, and business cases. As part of the Refrigeration Controllers product management team, you will work with Sales, Marketing, R&D, application experts, and regional teams to strengthen the core business and create new growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set the global direction and build the growth strategy for commercial refrigeration controller solutions across food service, food and beverage, professional kitchens, cold rooms, and related applications, by identifying attractive segments, unmet customer needs, and a prioritized pipeline of opportunities.
• Be the voice of the customer and translate insight into action by engaging with OEMs, installers, wholesalers, service partners, end users, and regional sales teams, and turning what you learn into customer requirements, value propositions, feature priorities, acceptance criteria, and strong business cases.
• Shape and manage the roadmap, balancing customer value, platform leverage and scalability, competitiveness, lifecycle health, and financial impact.
• Take full responsibility for the product range by owning product lifecycle management, topline growth, and profitability of the portfolio, from opportunity assessment through development, launch, growth, simplification, repositioning, or phase-out; recommend portfolio investments and lifecycle decisions to senior leadership.
• Influence across the organization and represent the portfolio externally by aligning Product Management, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and technical support, and building trusted relationships with key customers and partners.

What We're Looking For

You combine strategic product leadership with enough technical depth to understand refrigeration applications and electronic controllers. You are commercially curious, customer-oriented, and comfortable turning ambiguity into clear direction and executable priorities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; refrigeration, HVAC, controls, electronics, mechatronics, or software knowledge is an advantage.
• Significant experience in product management, portfolio management, business development, or a comparable commercially oriented technical role in an international B2B environment, including developing product strategies, roadmaps, customer requirements, value propositions, and business cases for complex products.
• Ability to lead global, cross-functional work through influence, structure, sound judgment, and follow-through, with strong communication skills across customers, technical specialists, commercial teams, and senior leaders.
• Fluent written and spoken English and willingness to travel internationally.
