Job Description

The Impact You’ll Make

As our new Senior Manager, Technology & Innovation, you will shape the future of control systems used in off-road mobile machinery around the world. Leading a team of Architects and Innovation Engineers, you will define and drive the technology roadmap for next-generation Controllers, Displays, Remote Controls, and Joysticks, helping create the technologies that will power safer, more productive, connected, and increasingly autonomous machines.

This role combines people leadership, technology strategy, system architecture, and innovation. Working across our global Engineering and Portfolio organizations, you will turn customer needs, market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies into scalable platform solutions that enable future product development. You'll have the opportunity to influence key technology decisions, develop talented teams, and help bring new technologies from early exploration into real-world customer value.

The position is ideally based at one of our Danfoss Power Solutions locations in Northern Europe, with flexibility for other locations where local employment regulations allow.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Define and drive the technology and innovation roadmap for our Control & Connectivity Solutions portfolio, ensuring it supports future product and platform strategies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Architects and Innovation Engineers, creating an environment built on collaboration, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Own and govern key architecture principles and technology choices for future generations of Controllers, Displays, Remote Controls, and Joysticks.
  • Build and manage a technology pipeline that moves ideas from exploration and proof-of-concept through technology maturation and handover into product development.
  • Translate customer, market, regulatory, and technology trends into engineering opportunities, working closely with Portfolio Management, Product Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams across the global organization.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams within engineering, technology, innovation, or product development environments.
  • Great experience developing embedded and connected mechatronic systems that integrate electronics, embedded software, communication technologies, and mechanical design.
  • Expertise in defining technology strategies, system architectures, technology roadmaps, or product platforms for complex products and systems.
  • Understanding of functional safety, machinery regulations, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance within embedded industrial, automotive, mobile machinery, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Ability to collaborate, influence decisions, and build effective relationships across global, cross-functional organizations.
What You’ll Get from Us
  • You'll lead a highly skilled technical team and influence the technologies and architectures behind future generations of machine control solutions.
  • You'll work closely with senior leaders across Engineering and Portfolio Management, giving you visibility and impact on key technology and product decisions.
  • You'll gain exposure to emerging technologies and help turn new ideas into scalable solutions used by customers around the world.
  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected and valued for who they are.
  • You'll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about, we think they’re pretty great.
