Job summary

Moultrie is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Camera Retention and Lifecycle to own the shipped camera fleet and sustainment roadmap. You will prioritize firmware releases and coordinate with Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to keep customers satisfied across generations.

You will drive lifecycle decisions, analyze field data and warranty trends, and influence strategy for aging generations while mentoring a product team and communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in product management, including ownership of one or more major products through their full lifecycle: maintenance, obsolescence, and end-of-life.
  • Track record of developing product strategy—not just executing someone else's.
  • Strong analytical skills; used field, warranty, or support data to drive prioritization calls.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; clear cross-functional communication across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Success.
  • Experience mentoring or managing Product Managers or Product Owners.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Own the shipped camera fleet.
  • Own the sustainment roadmap across shipped camera generations — fixes, improvements, and compatibility updates, ranked by customer impact and business risk.
  • Own FW release prioritization across the fleet — when each model gets a release and what ships in it — ensure right features and fixes reach customers when it matters for fleet health and CLTV.
  • Prioritize customer-reported defects and field issues across the active fleet; collaborate with Engineering to scope fixes and with Customer Success on customer communication.
  • Analyze field data, warranty claims, and support trends to catch emerging issues before they spread.
  • Develop the sustainment strategy for the shipped camera fleet; assist in developing the strategy for the broader camera line.
  • Strategically plan the lifecycle of every camera generation — including EOL timing.
  • Own EOL planning and communication for aging generations; coordinate with Customer Success and Marketing on transition plans to keep customers on the platform.
  • Track competitive moves that affect the installed base; maintain a POV on rationale.
  • Feed lessons from the field back to New Product Development for next-gen improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to identify parts nearing end-of-life; drive re-qualification or redesign.
  • Partner with Compliance on certification renewals and regulatory requirements (FCC, IC, CE) for products in market, if necessary.
  • Represent the customer in cross-functional planning.
  • Communicate progress, decisions, impediments, and risks to management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials to help Customer Success and Marketing communicate fixes and transitions to customers.
  • Mentor/guide one or more Product Managers or Product Owners as needed.
  • Help audit team mechanisms and adjust processes as needed.
