Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager based in the United States.

This is an opportunity to lead product innovation at the intersection of technology, service design, and operational transformation in education and healthcare. You will own the platform experiences and systems that connect school districts with qualified clinicians, helping ensure students receive essential therapeutic services on time. By mapping complex workflows, eliminating operational bottlenecks, and developing intelligent matching and capacity management solutions, you will turn fragmented processes into scalable digital experiences. You will combine automation, AI-enabled workflows, and human decision-making to improve efficiency while maintaining high standards for data privacy and clinical compliance. Working closely with engineering, design, and operational leadership, you will guide strategic initiatives from discovery through implementation and adoption. This role is ideal for a systems-oriented product leader who thrives in ambiguity, values measurable outcomes, and wants to make a meaningful difference in children's access to specialized education services.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end service blueprinting and journey mapping across school districts, clinicians, internal operations teams, technical systems, and third-party data flows to identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery with operational teams to understand existing practices, uncover undocumented workflows, diagnose root causes, and replace manual workarounds with scalable product capabilities.
  • Define user needs and Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), designing intuitive internal tools that reduce cognitive load and improve the daily experience of non-technical users.
  • Architect effective human-and-technology workflows, determining when algorithmic automation is appropriate and when human operators need decision‑support interfaces, exception queues, triage dashboards, and task‑management tools.
  • Own product strategy and delivery for clinician‑to‑referral matching, caseload allocation, schedule optimization, and capacity management, balancing clinical availability and qualifications with school district requirements and timelines.
  • Evaluate build‑versus‑buy opportunities and lead integration strategies involving enterprise platforms, scheduling solutions, internal systems, and data pipelines to create cohesive operational workflows.
  • Identify and prioritize high‑impact AI opportunities, including generative AI, document parsing, and agentic workflows, to reduce manual data extraction and repetitive administrative tasks while maintaining FERPA compliance, clinical safeguards, and responsible data governance.
  • Partner with Operations and Enablement teams to support implementation, change management, and adoption of new tools, establishing feedback loops and monitoring utilization and user sentiment after launch.
  • Define and track product outcomes linked to operational efficiency, including fulfillment rates, capacity utilization, throughput, matching‑cycle times, and reductions in unstaffed referrals.
  • Lead an agile engineering pod in close partnership with engineering and design leads, coordinating delivery across operational, clinical, marketing, and support stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior operational leadership to align product priorities, resolve competing demands, and develop a roadmap that balances immediate service needs with long‑term scalability.
  • Continuously evaluate product performance and operational feedback to refine workflows, improve adoption, and deliver measurable business and service outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning complex systems, two‑sided marketplaces, logistics or fulfillment platforms, or enterprise workflow transformation initiatives.
  • Strong discovery and analytical skills, including the ability to interview non‑technical users, observe operational processes, identify hidden dependencies, and distinguish root causes from surface‑level feature requests.
  • Expertise in service design and blueprinting, including mapping customer‑facing interactions, internal employee actions, operational policies, and underlying software systems.
  • Demonstrated experience designing end‑to‑end workflows and internal software experiences using user‑centered design principles and Jobs‑to‑be‑Done frameworks.
  • Proven ability to design human‑in‑the‑loop systems that combine algorithmic automation with human judgment, including exception management, triage dashboards, and operational decision‑support tools.
  • Experience making build‑versus‑buy decisions and integrating products with third‑party enterprise platforms, internal systems, and data pipelines.
  • Strong execution and delivery capabilities, with experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives and shipping major releases with clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Commercial and operational acumen, including familiarity with metrics such as fill rates, throughput velocity, capacity utilization, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Experience partnering with operational teams on implementation, migration planning, rollout coordination, and adoption tracking for new tools and workflows.
  • Proficiency with AI prototyping tools and a build‑first mindset, with the ability to define AI product strategies and responsible‑use standards for a specific operational domain.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; an MBA is an asset.
  • Strong systems‑thinking skills and the ability to balance long‑term technical strategy with pragmatic solutions to urgent operational challenges.
  • A hands‑on, empathetic approach to product discovery, including willingness to observe real workflows, review existing tools and spreadsheets, and work directly with frontline operators.
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguity, structure competing stakeholder requests into well‑defined problems, and align teams around a prioritized roadmap.
  • A results‑oriented mindset focused on measurable improvements, sustained product adoption, and operational impact rather than feature delivery alone.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and maintain clear communication during core working hours, with camera‑on participation from Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for team gatherings, department offsites, and meetings with school partners or industry stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD, depending on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
  • Remote work: Remote‑first working environment for US‑based employees.
  • Healthcare coverage: Medical insurance, including a high‑deductible health plan with a generous employer‑funded Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution, plus dental and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off: 11 observed holidays, discretionary PTO for salaried employees, and 15 days of accrued PTO for hourly employees.
  • Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with a discretionary employer match.
  • Home office support: $500 home office stipend.
  • Insurance and financial protection: Company‑paid life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage, and disability benefits.
  • Employee assistance: Employee Assistance Program and wellness resources, including Headspace, Peloton, and One Medical.
  • Family support: Paid parental and caregiving leave.
  • Professional development: Opportunities for continued learning and eligibility to apply for a professional development scholarship program.
  • Inclusive culture: A collaborative, inclusive workplace recognized as Great Place to Work certified, with Employee Resource Groups that foster community and belonging.
  • Community impact: Volunteer time off and donation matching opportunities.
  • Meaningful work: The opportunity to contribute to a mission‑driven organization focused on helping children access high‑quality special education and therapeutic services.
