Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Product Owner to steer MCP capabilities within Schwab's developer portal, aligning internal teams with external developers and fintech partners.

You will own the product vision, prioritize API-centric experiences, and drive backlog grooming and sprint planning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role supports hybrid work in Westlake, TX, with a strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Product Owner or digital product management delivering complex technology solutions.
• Hands-on API experience including defining API requirements, integrations, or API-oriented products.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize a product backlog, write clear user stories, and drive sprint execution in Agile.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using data, insights, and market feedback to guide decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for MCP capabilities in Schwab's developer portal.
• Define and prioritize the developer experience, including API docs, sandbox environments, authentication flows, onboarding, and self-service tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and design to deliver a scalable, secure portal.
• Lead discovery with third-party integrators and fintech partners to identify pain points and opportunities for portal enhancements.
• Establish and track developer-centric metrics and communicate outcomes to leadership.
