Job summary
Microchip Technology Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Product Engineer I to join the Frequency and Time Systems team.
You will lead NPI efforts, support manufacturing, and apply DFX to bring new products from concept through production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of NPI/engineering design experience.
- Knowledge of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes and BOMs.
- Experience across full product lifecycle from prototype to end of life.
- Proficiency with CAD for PCBA and mechanical design (PADS, Altium, SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with DFX principles and hardware test equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) process from concept to release to production.
- Provide daily technical support to manufacturing to troubleshoot product issues.
- Apply design for x (DFX) principles in development and sustainment.
- Perform failure analysis to identify root cause and drive improvements.
- Support products through full lifecycle including requirements, design, development, test, and sustainment.
