Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Product Engineer I to join the Frequency and Time Systems team.

You will lead NPI efforts, support manufacturing, and apply DFX to bring new products from concept through production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role emphasizes ownership of the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition to sustainment, with opportunities for growth, learning, and cross-disciplinary collaboration within a renowned time and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of NPI/engineering design experience.
  • Knowledge of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes and BOMs.
  • Experience across full product lifecycle from prototype to end of life.
  • Proficiency with CAD for PCBA and mechanical design (PADS, Altium, SolidWorks).
  • Familiarity with DFX principles and hardware test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) process from concept to release to production.
  • Provide daily technical support to manufacturing to troubleshoot product issues.
  • Apply design for x (DFX) principles in development and sustainment.
  • Perform failure analysis to identify root cause and drive improvements.
  • Support products through full lifecycle including requirements, design, development, test, and sustainment.

Frequency and Timing Systems is expanding our business in global timescales, digital signal processing, satellite communications, airborne timing, and navigation systems.Microchip FTS’s Boulder, CO location, is seeking a **Senior** **Product Engineer I** in our Frequency and Time Systems team.
