Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking an experienced circuit design engineer to join the Frequency and Time Systems team. You will work on advanced network timing equipment, including PTP grandmasters and NTP servers, spanning analog and digital circuit design from architecture to PCB bring-up and validation.

Collaborate with hardware, software, marketing, test, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 12+ years of hands-on circuit design experience.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
• High attention to detail and problem solving.
• Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Define new product features and system-level tradeoffs.
• Develop analog and digital circuit designs with schematics.
• Create hardware design documentation and test plans.
• Collaborate with PCB layout and design reviews.
• Support board bring-up, validation, and sustaining support.
• Drive hardware development from concept to finished product.
