Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Engineer I for its Frequency and Time Systems team in Boulder, CO. You will lead NPI, support manufacturing, and drive product introductions from research to production.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration and learning in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in NPI and strong PCB/analog/RF knowledge, with experience across full product lifecycles and BOM management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in NPI, engineering design, manufacturing engineering, and/or test engineering.
Knowledge of PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes, procedures, and best practices.
Understanding of electronic circuits, including analog, RF, and digital circuitry.
Experience across full product life cycle from prototype and mass production to end of life.
Experience with hardware BOMs, process documentation, and assembly and test processes.
US Citizenship Required - ITAR Site.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI processes from concept through RTP.
Provide daily technical support to manufacturing to troubleshoot product issues.
Apply DFX principles to support new product development and sustainment.
Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and drive improvements.
Support products through full lifecycle: requirements, design, development, test, sustainment.
This in-office position is located in Boulder, CO and may require some travel.
