Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to drive design, development, and improvements across key tool products. The role acts as a technical expert, guiding project outcomes and ensuring on-time delivery with limited direction.

The candidate will apply strong analytical and design skills across multiple domains, lead complex projects, mentor teammates, and coordinate with Product Management and vendors to meet user needs.

Qualifications

• Requires B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program and 5+ years of direct work experience.
• Strong technical, analytical, planning, and organizational skills are essential.
• Deep understanding of new product development and introduction.
• Ability to lead complex projects with multiple interactions and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and improvement of Klein Tools products.
• Act as SME for at least one product category within Klein Tools.
• Coordinate timelines and ensure on-time delivery within phase gate framework.
• Mentor engineers and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
• Represent the organization in vendor meetings and coordinate work.
• Perform advanced engineering analyses including 3D CAD and FEA.
