Tramec Sloan, LLC in Holland, MI or Galion, OH is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead product design, development, validation, and launch across the product lifecycle. You will mentor engineers, chair cross-functional reviews with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and quality, and drive DFMEA, PFMEA, and APQP while ensuring QMS compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, 8+ years in product engineering, and hands-on CAD experience with SolidWorks,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Design Engineering.
Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of product engineering experience.
Experience leading engineering projects from concept through production.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PLM, and engineering change management.
Heavy-duty truck, automotive, or industrial equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead new product development from concept through production launch.
Provide technical leadership for cross-functional engineering teams.
Develop innovative product designs using SolidWorks.
Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, routings, Product Masters, and ECNs/ECOs.
Lead APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and design reviews.
Evaluate manufacturability, cost, quality, reliability, and serviceability.
Travel 10–20% as required.
Mentor engineers and technicians.
