Job summary

Tramec LLC is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to join either our Tramec Sloan facility in Holland, Michigan or our Tramec Sloan facility in Galion, OH.

The role partners with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing and Suppliers to identify, qualify, validate, and continuously improve supplier performance while ensuring purchased components meet engineering, quality, cost and delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• 5–8 years of engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or purchasing experience.
• Experience with supplier qualification and validation of components.
• Experience with APQP and PPAP processes.
• Experience with domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and capability assessments.
• Develop suppliers to meet engineering and quality expectations.
• Coordinate validation of purchased components.
• Lead APQP/PPAP activities and deliver PPAP packages.
• Provide engineering support during new product launches and ECNs.
• Participate in supplier quality activities and corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Product Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
