Job summary

Taco, Inc. in Cranston, RI is seeking a Buyer, Product Development to purchase materials and services for prototype builds and new product launches. You will maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery in line with company policies.

The role requires 3+ years in buying, ERP experience, and strong Excel skills; occasional travel to supplier sites and conferences; hybrid office arrangement with some remote days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of buying experience required.
• Strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain professional working relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel required to conferences, customer/rep sites, etc.

Responsibilities

• Work with quality to request FIAs and manage FIAs sign-offs.
• Provide resolution of rejected material with engineering and vendors.
• Develop, monitor, and receive purchase orders.
• Coordinate with customs broker and company legal on international imports.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve long lead items.
• Transfer information to production buyers.
• Perform other duties as requested.
