Job summary

Taco, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to design, develop and validate mechanical products and platforms. You will build prototypes, perform calculations, and prepare detailed reports to support design decisions and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production, and purchasing to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet company goals, while leading reviews and documenting ECOs and DFMEA/DFM activities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD/CAE/FEA tools; SolidWorks preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate new and existing products and platforms.
• Construct models and build prototypes; calculate and analyze test results and prepare reports.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions and product specs.
• Prepare documentation including design processes, assembly instructions, product specs, test plans and findings.
• Ensure products comply with industry and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems in projects, production, or service.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Create and manage engineering change orders (ECO) and oversee DFMEA/DFM analyses.
• Lead technical design reviews and support manuals and sales literature.
• Stay updated on industry trends and attend conferences to enhance knowledge.
