Job summary

Helen of Troy is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer in New York, NY, to join the OXO engineering team. You will critique designs, review CAD files, and drive prototyping and production readiness alongside factories.

The role operates within a flexible hybrid model with in-office collaboration Tuesday to Thursday and optional remote Mondays and Fridays, with occasional travel for supplier interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electro‑mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastics, injection molding, sheet metal and die casting.
• SolidWorks or Creo proficiency.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and schematics.
• Ability to write basic code using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Critique designs from design firms and request factory feedback.
• Input changes and discuss them with the design firm.
• Aid in review processes, orders, and production of design prototypes.
• Review pre-production samples and approve for production.
• Coordinate with factories on design decisions related to cost and manufacturability.
• Develop firmware/electronics with internal or external teams when applicable.
• Build prototypes and BOMs for quotes and manufacturing docs.
• Design testing procedures and ensure product performance/quality.
