Job summary

Advocate Technologies seeks a Product Engineer to lead a squad owning a portion of our platform. You will own features end-to-end—from scope to delivery—with unusual latitude on how they are built.

You will turn dense insurance data into interfaces used daily by brokers, lenders, and underwriters, collaborating across squads with strong product judgment and a bias toward shipping. You’ll leverage AI tools to scale output and help define what data or endpoints are needed, ensuring progress

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production web applications.
• Advanced, daily use of AI tools (Codex, Claude Code, agentic workflows).
• Comfort working across the development stack.
• Experience with data-heavy products: dashboards, analytics tools, pricing platforms, internal tools with real complexity.
• Strong product instinct and a bias toward shipping.
• High autonomy in a small team.
• Hybrid and remote working options available.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end, from scope through build, deploy, and iterate.
• Work across the stack when the problem requires it (interface, API surface, data model, background jobs).
• Turn dense, structured insurance data into interfaces for brokers, lenders, or underwriters.
• Define dependencies and raise blockers early.
• Use AI tooling aggressively to ship at scale.
• Contribute to eval and benchmarking to decide model trust for customer data.
• Bring product judgment to push for simpler, more impactful solutions.
