Fulcrum is building an AI platform to automate insurance broker workflows in San Francisco. We’re seeking a Senior Product Engineer to shape core AI products—from processing long PDFs and Excel files to building browser automations—supporting both MVP and growth phases.

You’ll own 0→1 MVP development and 1→10 scale, collaborating with enterprise users to improve margins and customer workflows. In-person collaboration is emphasized in a lean, high-impact team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency (Python a plus).
• Proven track record of shipping user‑focused products.
• Excellence in cross‑functional collaboration and communication.
• Deep empathy for user needs and passion for user experience.
• Enjoy being hacky — getting something out to the customer as soon as possible.
• Experience building scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete features across both frontend and backend layers of our application.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with appropriate test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the technology stack.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Think like a PM as much as an engineer: you'll shape what gets built, not just how.
• Balance technical considerations with user needs and business goals.
• Talk to customers, take in their feedback, and turn it into product decisions
