Job summary

Teledyne Micropac is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to steward mission-critical products from prototype through end‑of‑life. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, Supply Chain, Sales, and Program Management to resolve issues and drive cost and yield improvements.

The role requires strong electronics manufacturing knowledge, documentation discipline, and PLM/ERP familiarity, with occasional on-site customer or supplier interactions to ensure product readiness and

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years directly in the field or MS with 5+ years.
• Strong fundamentals in electronics and manufacturing/sustaining engineering.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation rigor.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple products/projects with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; familiarity with PLM/ERP environments.
• Knowledge of aerospace/defense standards (AS9100, MIL/STD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for assigned product families.
• Own BOM integrity, substitutions, and change control through ECOs.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive high-yield processes with teams.
• Use SPC/DoE to reduce variation and improve yield.
• Create and maintain datasheets, specs, work instructions, and travelers.
• Support prototypes, DVT planning, and production release.
• Lead/coordinate RCCA using structured methods (5-Why, Ishikawa, FMEA).
• Visit customers or suppliers occasionally for alignment and support.
