Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a driven Product Engineer for the Air-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers team at the Advanced Development and Engineering Center in New Freedom, PA. You will be the technical interface between design and manufacturing, ensuring engineering intent translates into executable factory processes onsite.

You will own quality improvements, drive DFMEA updates, and lead cost-reduction initiatives while collaborating across global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 7 years of experience in product, sustaining, or manufacturing engineering for complex mechanical equipment.
• Experience with BOM management and engineering change processes (ECN/CCB).
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Design-to-Factory Bridge between design engineering and global manufacturing.
• Own quality issues and drive root cause分析 and permanent corrective actions.
• Identify and lead DFM improvements to reduce assembly time and costs.
• Support PPAP activities and field engineering changes as needed.
• Collaborate with SAP, Windchill and supplier teams to ensure engineering documentation is accurate.
