Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced mechanical/product/manufacturing engineer to lead new product development and support engineering changes on current production products. The role serves as the engineering representative on customer vehicle teams.

Responsibilities include applying mechanical theory, materials, test protocols, and manufacturing considerations to daily projects, developing designs to meet customer requirements, and maintaining clear communication with internal and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years in product, process or manufacturing engineering, preferably in product development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with DFMEA and customer PPAPs.
• Experience with vehicle packaging.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Meet requirements of PDE I job description.
• Apply fundamentals of mechanical theory, materials, test protocols and basic manufacturing processes to daily projects.
• Develop component and system level product designs per customer requirements.
• Interpret customer inputs and communicate Shape outputs to customers.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to meet timelines.
• Additional duties as directed by leadership.
