Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Validation Engineer to lead automotive product testing, define strategies, and drive root cause analysis. You will interact with customers to understand bench architectures and ensure compliant test procedures.

Strong scripting and data analysis skills are essential for improving efficiency and reliability. The role requires collaboration with hardware and software teams, hands-on bench work, and travel to client sites or HQ to support project reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong engineering background.
• “5+ additional years of relevant technical experience” preferred.
• Experience in OEM or Tier 1 Automotive environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy based on requirements and specifications for Automotive products.
• Identify failures, root cause issues and recommend fixes.
• Create scripts/tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Write validation reports, test procedures, and compliance documents (SQMS, automotive standards).
• Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle simulation bench architecture and test environments.
• Manage and maintain test bench equipment.
