Job summary

Executive Recruiting Associates is assisting a consumer products company in Illinois to hire a Senior Product Development Engineer who will lead the design and development of innovative consumer electronics from concept through production. The role requires hands-on engineering with a strong technical foundation in a fast-paced global manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a BSEE, experience with high-power LED circuits and lithium-ion battery systems, and proficiency in AutoCAD and

Qualifications

Must have a degreed Electrical Engineer (BSEE).
Experience in consumer products and LED/battery systems is preferred.
Proven ability to develop assembly instructions and QC procedures.
Experience designing production test fixtures and DFx/DFM principles.
Strong regulatory knowledge (UL, CE) and supplier collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of innovative consumer electronics from concept through production.
Develop detailed assembly instructions and QC procedures.
Design and implement production test fixtures.
Interface with UL and other regulatory agencies for product compliance.
Collaborate with overseas contract manufacturers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
