Job summary

Executive Recruiting Associates is assisting a consumer products company in Illinois to hire a Senior Product Development Engineer who will lead the design and development of innovative consumer electronics from concept through production. Qualifications

• Must have a degreed Electrical Engineer (BSEE).
• Experience in consumer products and LED/battery systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop assembly instructions and QC procedures.
• Experience designing production test fixtures and DFx/DFM principles.
• Strong regulatory knowledge (UL, CE) and supplier collaboration experience.

• Consumer products background strongly preferred.
• Must be degreed Electrical Engineer – BSEE
• Develop detailed assembly instructions and quality control (QC) procedures
• Design and implement production test fixtures
• Interface with UL and other regulatory agencies for product compliance
• Provide technical support to QC inspectors and resolve manufacturing issues
• Collaborate with overseas contract manufacturers to ensure product quality and timely delivery
• Proven experience designing high-power LED circuits and lithium-ion battery systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience working with international teams and manufacturers
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance processes (UL, CE, etc.)
• Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
