Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Associate degree with relevant experience considered
• 7+ years of electrical hardware design experience preferred
• Experience taking electrical designs from concept through production release
• Strong background in analog and digital circuit design and PCB layout
• Experience with LED technology, drivers, and power electronics
• Knowledge of thermal management techniques for high-output LED systems
• Experience troubleshooting circuits and performing electrical failure analysis
• Understanding of EMC/EMI design practices and compliance requirements
• Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes and power supplies

Responsibilities

• Design and develop LED-based lighting products for machine vision applications

Our growing customer is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and support LED-based lighting products for machine vision applications. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys owning hardware design from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in developing innovative lighting solutions by designing electrical systems, supporting prototype builds, troubleshooting complex issues, and helping bring products into full-scale manufacturing.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop LED-based lighting products for machine vision applications
• Create analog and digital circuit designs including LED drivers, power conversion, signal conditioning, and control interfaces
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts using tools such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCad
• Own electrical hardware development from concept through production release
• Make technical decisions related to component selection, circuit architecture, testing strategies, and product performance
• Apply signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI design practices to improve reliability and compliance
• Perform thermal analysis and develop solutions for high-output LED systems
• Troubleshoot circuit performance issues and conduct electrical failure analysis
• Create BOMs, work instructions, and engineering documentation to support manufacturing
• Partner with mechanical, software, optical, test, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Support product improvements, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience considered
• 7+ years of electrical hardware design experience preferred
• Experience taking electrical designs from concept through production release
• Strong background in analog and digital circuit design, PCBA layout, and design for manufacturability
• Experience with LED technology, LED drivers, power electronics, and electronic components
• Knowledge of thermal management techniques for high-output LED systems
• Experience troubleshooting circuits and performing electrical failure analysis
• Understanding of EMC/EMI design practices and compliance requirements
• Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, and thermal imaging tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
