Job summary

Modus Closing (Compass) is hiring a Senior Product Designer for a contract role based in New York, NY. Lead end-to-end design across web and native mobile for complex real estate transaction workflows, collaborating with product managers, transaction operations stakeholders, and engineers.

Own the iterative design process from concept through shipping for commissions, contracts, and financial reporting, and partner with engineering to ensure quality implementation across web, iOS, and Android.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication for presenting design ideas persuasively.
• 4+ years of UX design experience.
• Ability to simplify complex workstreams into clear experiences.
• Strong user research, storytelling, and prototyping skills.
• Knowledge of modern web and mobile UI patterns and tools.
• Production quality and knowledge of Figma, Claude Design, Google Suite.
• Strong UX writing skills.
• Autonomy in a fast-paced environment with stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience designing enterprise-level financial tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and develop enterprise workflow experiences for commissions, contracts, and financial reporting.
• Wireframe and prototype concepts, progressing to high-fidelity designs and design systems.
• Design intuitive end-to-end workflows aligned with platform and brand context.
• Conduct design research to understand user behavior and pain points.
• Use analytics and competitive analysis to validate and measure design outcomes.
• Partner with product managers on strategy, roadmap, and product requirements.
• Work with engineering to assess feasibility and ensure quality across platforms.
