Modus Closing (Compass) is hiring a Senior Product Designer for a contract role based in New York, NY. Lead end-to-end design across web and native mobile for complex real estate transaction workflows, collaborating with product managers, transaction operations stakeholders, and engineers.

Own the iterative design process from concept through shipping for commissions, contracts, and financial reporting, and partner with engineering to ensure quality implementation across web, iOS, and Android.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication for presenting design ideas persuasively.
• 4+ years of UX design experience.
• Ability to simplify complex workstreams into clear experiences.

You will collaborate with product managers, transaction operations stakeholders, and engineers to deliver cohesive experiences across web and native mobile.

Role Summary

Own the iterative design process from concept through shipping for commissions, contracts, and financial reporting. Work across enterprise workflow experiences, using research and data to improve user behavior understanding and validate design direction. Partner closely with engineering to support quality implementation across platforms including web, iOS, and Android.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Details

• The base pay range is $122,000-$136,000 per year, with base pay offered varying by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Bonuses and restricted stock units may be included as part of the compensation package, along with a full range of benefits.
• Base pay is based on market location, and minimum wage for the position will always be met.

Additional Role Context

• Work on complex real estate transaction related workflows, delivering simple and intuitive end-to-end experiences.
• Report to the Design Director, Product Design.
• Ideate and prototype end-to-end platform design solutions and gather user feedback to support residential real estate agent service for seller and buyer clients.
• Own iterative design processes for major feature initiatives from concept to shipping, collaborating with cross-functional peers including product designers, product managers, transaction ops stakeholders, and engineers.
