Job summary

Otter is seeking a senior Product Designer for Platform to shape experience architecture across the product suite. You will influence foundational journeys from onboarding to expansion, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Design System teams to deliver scalable, reusable UI patterns.

The role emphasizes leadership in complex systems, simplifying workflows, and leveraging emerging technologies like AI to improve outcomes while balancing constraints. Based in LA with onsite expectations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience or equivalent seniority.
• Strong systems thinking and information architecture skills for complex workflows.
• Proven ability to define scalable experience models, frameworks, and patterns across products/teams.
• Excellent product judgment balancing usability, flexibility, and constraints.
• Strong cross-functional leadership to drive alignment with Product, Engineering, Design.

Responsibilities

• Define platform-level experience architecture across navigation, hierarchy, permissions, configuration, entitlements, and shared interaction patterns.
• Lead cross-product workflows such as onboarding, activation, setup, upsell, and expansion.
• Simplify complex, workflow-heavy tools with clear mental models and reusable patterns.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align UX with system models and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Design System team to translate patterns into reusable UI foundations.
• Prototype faster and elevate design quality by embracing new technologies and AI judiciously.
• Explore how AI can shift experiences from tools to outcomes as a service.
