Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a Senior Product Designer in San Francisco to own end-to-end product design for Boost Money, BoostCash, and AI initiatives, reporting to the VP of Design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship experiences that move activation and retention.

This role requires in-person work in San Francisco at least two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Equity and a comprehensive benefits package are included; this role will not be remote in the future.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience with a consumer mobile focus.
• Strong Figma skills and ability to mentor juniors.
• Experience in fintech or regulated consumer spaces.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Legal.
• Portfolio of shipped case studies showing impact.
• Experience with AI and automation in design processes.

Responsibilities

• Own design for Boost Money, BoostCash, mobile banking products and AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Legal to translate concepts into flows and prototypes.
• Ship, test, and iterate to improve activation, conversion, and retention.
• Clarify eligibility, fees, and repayments in the user experience.
• Manage multiple projects across product lines and align stakeholders.
• Contribute to and maintain the Upgrade Design System.
• Mentor junior designers on Figma, AI, and best practices.
