Pump in San Francisco, CA is hiring a Head Product Designer to shape the end-to-end product experience—from onboarding and savings dashboards to AI cost tracking. This hybrid design and build role pairs hands-on product thinking with shipping ownership.

You'll work closely with founders and engineers to take concepts from research and Figma through to shipped code, ensuring a clean, modern, and scalable user experience across web apps. Strong collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a product designer for web apps.
• BS or MS in CS, Engineering, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Proficiency with Claude, Cursor, Figma, Lottie for design and AI work.
• Strong graphic design skills encouraged.
• Experience with agile development practices.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions.
• Implement and test new product features with intuitive UX.
• Maintain a clean, minimal, modern user experience and visuals.
• Drive product analysis via user research, feedback, and data.
• Collaborate with UX/UI to build polished interfaces.
• Work with backend and frontend engineers to ship features.
