Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking its first full-time Product Designer to establish and lead the design function from the ground up. The role offers end-to-end ownership of the product design experience, with the opportunity to define design standards, influence product direction, and build the foundations of the design organisation as the company grows.

You will own the developer-focused UI across consoles, dashboards, onboarding, and docs, maturing a dense, data-rich design system

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing software, with recent work on developer tools, infrastructure, or technical B2B products.
• Portfolio of dense, data-rich UIs built for expert users - consoles, dashboards, tables, logs; information density over whitespace.
• Built a design system, or shipped major contributions to one—not just consumed one.
• Comfortable going from rough idea to high-fidelity product independently in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design from research through to shipped UI, partnering with engineers.
• Mature and evolve the existing design system with tokens, components and patterns for dense surfaces.
• Own the full developer experience—console, dashboards, onboarding, docs, and terminal surfaces—to reduce time from signup to first workload.
• Set the visual language, interaction patterns, and quality bar for the entire product.
• Lead design critique and help hire/build the design function as the team grows.
