Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Designer to own the full lifecycle of design for platforms and vertical products, collaborating closely with engineering and product management. You will craft solutions for highly technical, mission-critical scenarios and shape experiences across operator and command workflows.

You will mentor peers, drive hands-on prototyping, and contribute to design system evolution while aligning with stakeholders on user needs and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI.
• Deep expertise in visual and interaction design.
• Systems thinking to map workflows across multiple user types and contexts.
• Strong prototyping skills to drive clarity in decision-making.
• Ability to communicate the “why” behind design decisions across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating high attention to craft and interaction details.
• No prior defense experience required – diverse perspectives welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end user experience for platform, internal R&D, or vertical product investments.
• Shape how product design integrates with engineering and product management through collaboration and prototyping.
• Define high-impact product experiences from discovery to high-fidelity design.
• Engage end users and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to align on needs and concepts.
• Ensure designs are easy to follow with narrative, journey maps, and thorough documentation.
• Mentor design peers and contribute to design critiques and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with design systems to evolve the platform at the edge.
