Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Product Designer for the Design Systems team to design and evolve Matter across platforms. You will partner with designers and engineers to implement scalable design solutions and ensure consistency across web, mobile, XR, and emerging platforms, while maintaining high craft and accessibility.

The role emphasizes leading design systems at scale, shaping end-to-end experiences, and mentoring teammates within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in product design with leadership in design systems at scale.
Proven impact shaping end-to-end systems with measurable outcomes.
Deep expertise in Figma and collaboration through implementation.
Track record aligning multiple teams in complex environments.

Responsibilities

Design and iterate Matter, Anduril's design system across primitives, tokens, components, patterns, and guidelines.
Establish governance that balances platform scaling with project needs.
Communicate system strategy and progress to leadership, designers, and engineers.
Partner across teams to identify gaps and design scalable adoption solutions.
Unify visual and interaction direction across web, mobile, XR, and emerging platforms.
Ensure quality, craft, and accessibility while grounded in operational realities.
Manage transitions from deprecated patterns, ensuring smooth migrations.
Mentor designers and drive alignment on system best practices.
