Job summary

PadSplit in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape and improve experiences across our two-sided housing marketplace. You’ll own end-to-end product design from problem exploration through prototyping, launch, and iteration, delivering intuitive and scalable experiences for members and hosts.

You’ll collaborate with product management, engineering, and data teams to drive product strategy, run experiments, and craft high-quality UI in Figma.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing digital products, ideally with complex acquisition funnels or marketplace environments.
• Strong UX skills with direct user research to uncover pain points and opportunities.
• Ability to connect design decisions to metrics, revenue, and real estate economics like rent, ROI, and occupancy.
• Experience designing multi-step processes, complex service environments, and edge-case-heavy workflows.
• Proficiency in Figma and responsive UI design across web and mobile, with strong systems thinking.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and interpreting qual/quant data.
• Experience designing AI-powered features and leveraging AI tools in design practice.
• A collaborative, authentic, mission-driven approach to cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Own End-to-End Product Design – Lead design from problem discovery through prototyping, launch, and iteration in PadSplit’s marketplace.
• Simplify Complex Experiences – Turn complex workflows into clear, intuitive experiences.
• Conduct User Research – Interview, observe, and translate insights into better products.
• Drive Product Strategy – Partner with PMs to identify opportunities and connect needs to outcomes.
• Experiment & Iterate – Use data and experiments to improve experiences.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work with PMs, engineers, marketers, operations, and data.
• Craft High-Quality UI – Build responsive interfaces in Figma with PadSplit’s design system.
• Build AI-Infused Experiences – Prototype AI-powered features with engineering/ML teams.
