Job summary

Grindr is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own end-to-end design for core areas of the Grindr app, from discovery to shipped features. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Data to move work quickly and with clarity.

You will raise the craft, contribute to the evolving design system, and help shape Grindr’s design culture as a senior IC as we uplift the app for millions. This hybrid role is based in San Francisco or Los Angeles, with in-person days required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience as a senior IC at a consumer-focused tech company
• Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership - problem framing to shipped solution
• Experience designing for consumer mobile apps on iOS and/or Android
• Track record shipping features end-to-end within tight timelines
• Strong communication and ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience designing monetization surfaces

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design for core areas of the Grindr app - from early discovery and problem framing through high-fidelity production specs and shipped features
• Drive design decisions independently with clear rationale, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data
• Raise the quality bar across the team through craft, process, and cross-functional communication
• Collaborate with the Design Systems Specialist to evolve Grindr’s design system
• Shape Grindr’s design culture as a senior IC on the team
