Grindr seeks an exceptional Product Legal expert to partner with Product Development, Engineering, Design, and Trust & Safety teams. You’ll shape product strategy from the start, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear product choices and enabling rapid yet responsible progress.

You will work in a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, SF, NYC or offices, with in-person presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays, collaborating across global markets and governance efforts.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience providing product counseling to consumer internet businesses.
• Strong legal judgment to translate unsettled questions into practical recommendations for product leaders.
• Cross-functional credibility with product leaders, engineers, designers, and executives.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Aufgaben

• Serve as primary day-to-day legal partner to Product Development teams across the full lifecycle.
• Advise on AI-enabled product features including personalization, location-based products, subscriptions, payments, and growth initiatives.
• Help product teams develop clear, user-centered disclosure, consent, education, and choice.
• Connect Product Development teams with Legal & Privacy and outside counsel while owning issues and driving to clear business answers.
• Work with Privacy on data sensitivity, consent, DSAR rights, and privacy-by-design.
• Build scalable legal tools, playbooks, review processes, and decision frameworks to involve Legal early.
• Counsel executives and the Board on AI regulation, online safety, consumer protection, and platform regulation across key markets.
