Job summary

Fivetran + dbt Labs is hiring a Senior Manager to lead the Product Design team responsible for dbt Labs. This people-management role reports to the Director of Product Design and focuses on shaping a coherent product experience through AI-powered data products.

You will manage a team of product designers, set UX strategy for dbt products, and partner with Product and Engineering to define data workflows, governance, and trust. This is a strategic leadership position at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience
• 5+ years managing product designers
• Strong people management skills and culture building
• Cross-functional leadership with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Marketing, and exec stakeholders
• Experience designing for complex products such as ELT, data infrastructure, analytics engineering, developer tools, cloud platforms or data governance
• Experience designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences and operating AI workflows for design teams

Responsibilities

• Lead the dbt product design team across dbt platform and CLI-based products
• Own UX strategy for dbt product experiences
• Provide design direction for complex data workflows and technical users
• Shape AI and agentic product experiences within dbt and defend design decisions with data and engineering partners
• Drive integration of Fivetran and dbt Labs design systems and culture
