Job summary

Fivetran, Oakland-based, is hiring a Senior Manager to lead the Product Design team responsible for dbt Labs. You will shape the UX strategy across dbt products, guide design for technical data workflows, and drive AI-powered experiences at scale.

You will manage a team of product designers, collaborate with product and engineering leaders, and help integrate the Fivetran and dbt Labs design systems during a period of significant product evolution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience and 5+ years in people management.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to design for technically complex products like ELT and data platforms.
• Experience designing AI-powered or agentic product experiences.
• Strong technical fluency to discuss engineering tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dbt product design team across dbt platform and CLI-based products.
• Define and drive UX strategy for dbt product experience.
• Provide design direction for complex data workflows.
• Shape AI-driven product experiences and ensure safe, useful AI surfaces.
• Help integrate Fivetran and dbt Labs design across the organization.
• Build an AI-native design operating model.
