Tapestry, a Google-affiliated team building AI-powered grid solutions, seeks a product design engineer to craft enterprise-grade experiences for the energy industry. You’ll work with product, software, research, and ML experts to push the field forward.

Lead design end-to-end—from strategy through execution—include rapid React prototyping, strong interaction design, and contribution to a scalable production design system.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience with shipped products and demonstrated impact at scale.
• Strong execution across interaction and visual design with attention to detail.
• Experience leading complex product areas and influencing direction across teams.
• Experience in both enterprise and startup environments, moving quickly.
• Experience contributing to production code and partnering with engineers.
• Experience building, maintaining, and evolving a production design system.
• Comfort with technical abstraction and systems thinking.

Responsibilities

• Set design direction for complex product areas, turning user and business needs into simple solutions for AI-driven products.
• Lead end-to-end design from strategy through execution with high quality interactions and visuals.
• Prototype directly in React to validate ideas and accelerate design-to-production.
• Partner with product, engineering, and domain experts to shape direction and alignment.
• Champion user-centered design practices across teams to raise design quality.
• Build and evolve our production design system with scalable components and patterns.
