Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to bridge product design and front-end engineering. You will transform complex, data-heavy tax workflows into intuitive, scalable experiences and contribute to a global design system.

The role blends engineering and design, with collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Design teams in global time zones. You will mentor peers and accelerate product delivery using modern AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, CS or related field required; 5+ years in product design engineering, front-end development or UX engineering.
• Portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, and front-end implementation.
• Experience translating design concepts into production-quality interfaces and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate product concepts and Figma designs into production-ready experiences.
• Build responsive, accessible front-end applications.
• Contribute to design systems and reusable components.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams in a follow-the-sun model.
• Prototype concepts rapidly to validate ideas and support decisions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate design, development, testing, and documentation.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to improve user experiences.
• Champion accessibility, usability, and consistency across products.
• Mentor peers and contribute to best practices.
