Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to bridge product design and front‑end development. The role combines approximately 70% engineering and 30% design, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Design teams across global time zones to deliver scalable, accessible interfaces.

You will contribute to the design system, build high‑performance UI, and accelerate product delivery with AI-assisted workflows while ensuring accessibility and usability across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design/CS or HCI; 5+ years experience in product design/UX engineering
• Experience translating design concepts into production interfaces
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across time zones

Responsibilities

• Translate product concepts and Figma designs into production-ready user experiences
• Build responsive, accessible, and performant front-end applications
• Contribute to evolution of design systems and reusable components
• Collaborate asynchronously with globally distributed teams in a follow-the-sun model
• Prototype concepts rapidly to validate ideas and improve decisions
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate design, development, testing, and documentation
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to improve user experiences
• Champion accessibility and usability across products
• Mentor peers and contribute to engineering best practices
• Other duties as required
