Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to blend product design and front-end engineering. You’ll transform complex tax workflows into scalable, accessible interfaces, contributing to design systems and high-performance UIs.

About 70% engineering and 30% design, collaborate across global teams, and mentor peers while advancing AI-assisted workflows. You’ll work with React, Angular, TypeScript, Next.js, TailwindCSS, and Figma, and engage in rapid prototyping and design-system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of experience in product design engineering, front-end development or UX engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in focus in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, preferred
• Experience translating design concepts into production-quality interfaces, preferred
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional product teams, preferred
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, and front-end implementation, preferred

Responsibilities

• Translates product concepts and designs into production-ready user experiences
• Builds responsive, accessible front-end applications
• Contributes to evolution of design systems and reusable components
• Collaborates asynchronously with globally distributed teams in a follow-the-sun model
• Prototypes concepts rapidly to validate ideas and improve decisions
• Utilizes AI-assisted tools to accelerate design, development, testing, and documentation
• Uses qualitative and quantitative insights to improve user experiences
• Champions accessibility, usability, and consistency across products
• Mentors peers and helps establish design and engineering best practices
• Other duties as required
