Job summary

BDO USA's Tax Digital Transformation & Innovation practice delivers human-centered digital experiences for tax professionals and clients. The Senior Product Design Engineer bridges product design and front-end engineering, transforming complex, data-heavy tax workflows into intuitive, scalable, and accessible experiences.

This role is approximately 70% engineering and 30% design. The ideal candidate can move from concept to production-quality implementation, partnering with Product, Engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or CS required or five (5) years of equivalent experience.
• Experience translating design concepts into production-quality interfaces.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional product teams; strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking.

Responsibilities

• Translates product concepts and designs into production-ready user experiences.
• Builds responsive, accessible front-end applications.
• Contributes to design systems and reusable components.
• Collaborates with globally distributed teams in a follow-the-sun model.
• Prototyping concepts to validate ideas and support decision-making.
• Leverages AI-assisted tools to accelerate design, development, testing, and documentation.
• Advocates accessibility, usability, and consistency across products.
• Mentors peers and contributes to best practices.
