Job summary

Meta seeks a talented product attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel supporting Meta Robotics Studio. This role is product-focused and will involve close coordination with engineering, machine learning, hardware, policy, and other cross-functional partners to advise on a broad range of issues globally as we build robots.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or equivalent foreign bar license; ability to practice in the location.
• 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and to reason from first principles where precedent does not exist.
• Experience providing legal advice on technology, internet, or media products and services.
• Strong communication, legal writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Track record delivering results on large cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
• Experience making decisions amid evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Take on novel legal questions with no clear answer and deliver practical, strategic advice for product and engineering teams.
• Analyze new products, features, and business models to identify and mitigate legal risks across jurisdictions.
• Advise on AI regulatory, hardware, trade, consumer protection, data protection, privacy, competition, IP, product safety, and related areas.
• Advise ML teams on dataset/model licensing, provenance, and evolving AI regulation implications.
• Manage legal arc from prototype to manufacturing, including product safety and certification.
