Job summary

Meta seeks an attorney with deep experience in online intellectual property issues to serve as Associate General Counsel, IP Product. You will tackle cutting-edge IP issues on a global scale across Meta's apps, products, and services, including AI, Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

You will counsel cross-functionally with product, engineering, policy, operations, and other teams, lead on IP legal issues across Reality Labs and the family of apps, and

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.
• Subject matter expertise in IP and related areas, including copyright and fair use, trademark, rights of publicity, and licensing.
• Experience with evolving global IP regulatory landscape including AI and new IP laws.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products to manage global IP risks.
• Advise on liability arising from copyright, trademark, and other IP laws (e.g., DMCA, CDA, EU directives).
• Lead on IP issues for AI products and Metaverse across Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, Messenger.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, policy, operations, and legal teams.
