Job summary

Meta seeks an attorney with deep IP experience to serve as Associate General Counsel, IP Product. You will tackle cutting-edge IP issues across Meta’s apps and services, including AI, Reality Labs, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp and Messenger.

You will counsel with product, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams, addressing global IP risk, licensing, and intermediary liability as Meta expands AI and Metaverse offerings.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years in-house or law firm IP experience.
• Expertise in copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, and licensing.
• Knowledge of DMCA, CDA, EU Copyright Directive, DSA and global liability issues.
• Experience advising on AI, direct and secondary liability, and new IP laws.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products to provide practical advice that manages global IP risks.
• Advise on liability issues related to copyright, trademark, and content laws.
• Support AI, Metaverse expansion and IP issues across Meta apps and services.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, policy, and operations teams.
• Work with outside counsel on IP matters across jurisdictions.
