Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division seeks a Product Chief Engineer, Fuel and Hydraulic Distribution, based at the Jackson, MI facility. You will serve as the senior technical authority for hose, tube, and connector lines, guiding risk assessment, engineering guidance, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years combined new product development and sustainment engineering experience.
• 5+ years aerospace experience.
• Export-controlled information requires U.S. person status.
• No relocation benefit; within 50-mile radius of Jackson, MI.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical authority for complex projects and programs within the product line by assessing completeness, compatibility, compliance, and technical risk.
• Consult as the product-line SME on complex assignments across the Division and Group.
• Establish and reinforce engineering expectations, best practices, and performance measures aligned with divisional and group objectives.
• Review product designs, technical deliverables, and verification activities for alignment with customer requirements and quality objectives.
• Assess trade-offs between business needs, technology requirements, cost, product-line risk, and customer requirements.
• Identify internal and external technical collaboration opportunities to enhance product-line capability and business performance.
• Present technical information, project status, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior technical and business leadership.
• Recommend and evaluate engineering process improvements to improve technical quality and reliability.
• Mentor engineers to strengthen capability and problem-solving effectiveness.
