Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division in Jackson, MS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and testing, focusing on process improvements for hydraulic pumps, motors, and reservoirs.

Ideal for engineers or recent graduates with a Bachelor in Engineering and 0–2 years of experience; on-site role with no relocation assistance; SOLIDWORKS/CAD experience preferred; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Entry level 0-2 years of experience in engineering support for manufacturing.
Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, CAD/CAM or similar software.
U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Create and improve process plans for new and existing products.
Conduct time studies to establish or verify standards.
Design and develop tooling to support assembly and testing.
Create and improve inspection documentation for production processes.
Use problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why’s, DMAIC) to identify root causes and implement actions.
Process customer returns (RMA) documentation and investigations.
Identify and execute cost-out initiatives through productivity improvements.
Support new product launches into production.
Perform daily process checks to ensure technician compliance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Rapid Improvement Events, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping.
