Job summary

EDM International is seeking a Product and Business Development Lead in Loveland, CO, to translate field challenges into practical products for electric utility transmission and distribution. You will work with customers, technical teams, and the Products team to identify opportunities, test ideas, and guide developments into production.

This hands-on role moves between customer conversations, product requirements, prototype reviews, and production handoffs, ensuring clear purpose throughout.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience with electric utility transmission and distribution systems.
• Six years across product management, product development, R&D, technical customer engagement, operations, or related work.
• Ability to translate field challenges into clear requirements and decisions.
• Judgment on what is worth building, testing, and when to move forward.
• Comfort collaborating with customers and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Talk with utility customers and observe field performance to identify needs.
• Evaluate new product concepts for technical feasibility and commercial potential.
• Define requirements, scope, costs, testing plans, and success criteria.
• Guide development from concept through validation and production handoff.
• Demonstrate prototypes and refine based on feedback.
• Develop customer relationships and market opportunities for EDM’s Products Sector.
• Improve processes and tools supporting product development and operations.
